Ulf Helgstrand welcomes you to this year’s Danish Championships
The Danish Championships will again this year include the Championships for both Senior, U25, and Para-dressage. There will also be a possibility to find your new dressage star at the Foal Auction. In addition, it will be very exciting to follow the qualifying inspection for this year’s World Championship for Young Horses.
The Bundgaard X Trolle Cup will undoubtedly also be a great experience and it will be possible to see some of the potentials for the future. There is a lot going on at the Championships, but the facilities make it possible to follow several competitions at the same time, which indeed will be necessary.
No matter how many exciting competitions this weekend offer, then some of the highlights will be to find out who will represent Denmark at the World Championship both in Dressage and Para-dressage in only two months and of course also long-term ex at the Olympics in only two years.
The battle to get selected will be intense. The development has been amazing, and we have never before seen so many top candidates for both seniors and younger riders.
Only a few years back we were very much in doubt if we could even host a U25 Championship due to too few riders at the level. Today we have 11 signed in to compete which speaks for itself. There are a lot of good reasons for this, but without sponsors and the many voluntary enthusiasts and qualified riders, this would never be possible.
I dare to guarantee dressage at the highest level this weekend.

I have looked very much forward to welcoming you all to the fourth Danish Championship in Uggerhalne. The best riders in Denmark will compete for this year’s Danish Championship titles for Para-dressage, U25 and Senior, and other than this, we will for the first time host the qualifying inspection for the prestigious World Championships for Young Horses. We can therefore look forward to seeing the best 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-year-old horses in Denmark.
To top this, we also welcome the next generation of top horses at the live Foal Auction on the 4th of June together with our German partner, the Stallion Station Schockemöhle. It will be a unique possibility to acquire a future dressage star, handpicked at the inspections in Denmark, Germany, and Nederland and solely from the stallions from the two Stallion Stations: Helgstrand and Schockemöhle. It will be the perfect evening for a dressage enthusiast, and we are very pleased to have you on board.
The location makes the perfect setting for hosting events. The ambition is to make this location Denmark’s leading and most popular competition setting, which has already led to the expansion of the facilities. Our team has done an amazing job and without them, it would not be possible to meet the large demand for professional competitions for the broader audience and riders. Our ambitions are much greater and therefore you can expect many new initiatives in the future. We have met fantastic support and it pleases us that we together can develop the location, so that everyone, whether you are a rider, spectator, exhibitor, or sponsor will get a fantastic experience. And we are very pleased that we can fill the stables, tribunes, Helgstrand Dressage VIP lounge, and the exhibition area with excited guests, who share the same passion for the sport, as we do ourselves.
