In the beautiful surroundings of Helgstrand’s facilities in the northern part of Denmark, the winning team of the 2022 LONGINES EEF Series Nations Cup Aalborg has been found! France, Japan and Denmark went on to the jump-off without any penalties from the first two rounds, but France was slightly faster and secured the win.
The French team was represented by Maelle Martin on Bise des Bardellieres, Swan Bourven on Vakiry des Saules, Alexis Goulet on Cordico as well as Alix Ragot on Coldplay EJ, led by team coach Eduard Couperie.
Japan entered second place led by team coach Wim Schröder, and represented by Taizo Sugitani on Quincy 194, Takashi Haase Shibayama on Campai 3, Eiken Sato on Saphyr des Lacs JRA as well as Koki Saito on Calcento JRA.
Third place went to Denmark - the winners of last year’s Nations Cup in Uggerhalne - led by team coach Bo K. Møller and represented by Lars N. Pedersen on Boegegaarden Gladiola, Linnea Ericsson-Carey on Skorphults Baloutendro, Andreas Schou on Independent (SWB) as well as Konstantin Deeken Künnemann on AK's Crowney.

- It’s really nice to be here. For me personally its’ my first time. And it’s quite a new team and the Nations Cup is always really interesting. It’s a very nice place and the horses are doing good, which is the most important thing, says team coach Eduard Couperie.
Course builder Peter Schumacher:
- It was a really exciting competition and a really nice jump-off with three nations on the podium having the host nation in the third place, says Peter Schumacher, course builder.

Andrius Petrovas winning on home-bred
The first class of today, the KRAFFT CSI2* Big Tour qualifier for Sunday's Grand Prix was won by Andrius Petrovas from Lithuania who took the lead in 29.98 seconds onboard the 10-year-old Sherlock by Shandor/Versal XXX. And it was a very special feeling to win today because it was on a horse that he has bred himself:
- It was a nice experience today and the course was very well-built. It was a special feeling winning today as I have bred Sherlock myself. It’s my second year here and I really like competing in Uggerhalne because of the nice conditions, says Andrius Petrovas after winning the Krafft 2* Big Tour.
In second place we have Polish Adam Grzegorzewski on the 7-year-old Fanfreluche de Rialfo Z by Eldorado van de Zeshoek/Verdi TN, who secured a clear round in the time 25.80 seconds, closely followed by Dutch Eric Ten Cate on the 9-year-old Ivoor by Eldorado van de Zeshoek/Verdi TN in the time 28.82.

Fenja Schougaard took the win in the Future Cup
Yesterday’s podium positions were switched around in today’s Future Cup final, with yesterday's runner-up winning the class on the 15-year-old pony, Hjprtsølund's Argon. Fenja has only been riding Argon for 8 months, and in that time the pony has already achieved b pony status.
- It was really nice competing here today and Argon was so sweet. Yesterday I got a second place and winning today was so great. He is so clever and great to work with. My plan is competing even more and hopefully one day competing internationally, says Fenja after winning the Future Cup Final today.
Second place went to Lina Hegeland Andersen onboard Attorory Bruce, who achieved a third place in the preliminary round, while Smilla Aabo and Fabian advanced to third place after a 7th place in yesterday's qualifier.
