Second competition day with lots of excellent performances

maj 19. 2022

The second day of the Longines EEF Series Aalborg is over, and what a day! Although the weather forecast predicted a good amount of rain, we luckily escaped only having a light rain. It was a true pleasure to see the many great performances and welcome spectators to watch the show in the beautiful surroundings at Helgstrand.

Danish Katrine Krog Stigsen wins CSI2* Small Tour 125 cm

The day started with the Kingsland CSI2* Small Tour 125 cm with 73 riders competing. However, it was not easy to get around Katrine Krog Stigsen from Denmark and the 14-year-old Casandra by Casir Ask/A'khan Z, who secured a clear round in the time 56.87 with Karoline Sloth Kjær and Diamond In West in second place (57.49 sec.). Benjamin Saurugg from Australia rode into third place onboard Chique PS Z in 58.98 seconds.

Western show style

One could be tempted to say because there was a lot of speed over the field as the ponies entered the arena in the Future Cup for category 3. The fastest with a clear round was Emmelie B. Jørgensen with the pony Hinderton May Lady, who won in 30.84 sec. with a nice lead to the second place, Fenja Schougaard on Hjprtsølunds Argon (33.95). In third place, we have Lina Hegeland Andersen and Attorory Bruce, who rode a clear round in 35,67. We'll see if Emmelie can defend her title in tomorrow's final.
