May 26. 2023

A successful Longines EEF Nations Cup at Helgstrand Event ended with a victory for a young team from the USA, while the home team secured the second place.

11 teams met in the Longines EEF Series Cup in Uggerhalne, where they in two rounds had to fight for the victory, and for some points in the EEF Series 2023.

It ended with a young team from the USA securing the first place, as they were the only ones to deliver a result without any faults. The team consisted of Alise Oken with Gelvera, Jacob Pope with Highway Fbh, Nikko Ritter with Aquiles del Caribe Z and Alessandra Volpi with Berlinda.

"It has been a fantastic event; we are happy to be here, and we hope to come again. We are very grateful and proud”, told Chef d’Equipe from USA, Anne Kursinski.

The home team from Denmark delivered eight good rounds, but a couple of faults meant that the Danish team ended up with eight faults in total. The teams from Germany and Poland ended with the same score, and therefore it was depending on the times.

The Danish team consisted of Lars Bak Andersen with Ethene, Martin Dinesen Neergaard with Carpe Diem van de Geeneinde Z, Rikke Belinda Barker with Tabalou PS and Andreas Schou with I Know, and as the last rider of the team from Denmark, Andreas Schou delivered a fast round, which secured Denmark the best time and the second place. Denmark was also the nation that secured the most points in this qualification of the EEF Series.

"We came with a strong team and really hoped for a victory, but unfortunately the Americans beat us, but in the end, it was good that we could deliver and secure the second place", said Andreas Schou.

Germany took third place and the team consisted of Philip Rüping, Nicola Pohl, Teike Carstensen and David Will.
